Welcome to our guest house "Les Clés d'à Côté" !


This house, we first built in our heads before building it with our hands for guests visinting our beautiful region. For work, for pleasure, for couples, for families, everyone finds happiness in this house whether it is for one night and for a week. 


Come enjoy our warm, homy house only a few meters from the nearest metro station. We are 4km from the city center, that is 12-15 minutes driving or riding the tram.


The Norman coast is a short hour from us (Etretat, Honfleur, Trouville, Cabourg) and Giverny is 50 minutes from the house. You can also discover our many abbeys and "boucles de la Seine" (little villages like La Bouille or Duclair).

Bed & Breakfast

Here's a description of each room to help you choose the best for you. 


Room n°1, on the ground floor, warm and quiet with a pinch of nature (see the green on the walls and the garden through the window). The private bathroom has a shower that can open from both sides. 


Room n°2, on the ground floor as well, is the largest room of the house. It has a bath (with a step, let's be careful) and a sofa in the room. 


Room n°3, on the first floor, with high ceiling, hardwood floors and sun all day, it is our little favourite. 


Rooms n°4, on the second floor, is the coziest, most romantic room of the house. 


Warnings : room n°3 and n°4 are above one another so you might hear little steps on the hardwood floors even through the rugs and even though we have the best respectful hosts ! Also, room n°4 has to be earned : the stairs are a little steep.

Booking a whole house

For your family reunion and friends gathering, the house is the perfect location to enjoy a few days together. 


A large table, a spacious living-room, the kids playing in the garden while some are cooking, the others are resting, the definition of happiness for all.

Breakfast

After a good-night sleep, wake up to the smell of warm croissants and baguettes which Valentin got for you at the local bakery. We prepare a home-made and generous breakfast with what you ordered from the bakery the day before. 


You will also find eggs, ham, cheese, home-made jams and yoghurts and as often as we can, a cake or a brioche. 


We serve it from 7:00am to 10:00am during the week. At weekends, breakfast is served from 8:30am until 11:00am.  


As a B&B, breakfast is included in the price of the room. 

As a holiday home (when booked entirely), breakfast is an option which has to be paid in addition.

Frequently-asked questions

How early can I arrive? 

The official arrival time is 4pm. However, it is sometimes possible to arrive earlier than that. The most important is to let us know what time you want to arrive so that we can do our best to welcome you whenever you need. 


What if I arrive really late? 

In case of a late arrival time, we will let you know how to get the keys on your own. 


Can I store my bike safely? 

We have a brand new bike shed which locks so your bikes will  be safe here. 


Do you accept pets? Unfortunately, we don't. 


What room should I book for my family? 

If your child sleeps in a baby's cot, you can book any of the 4 rooms.

Our room n°2 is our family room as it is the biggest and it can fit a baby's cot and the convertible 2-person sofa of the room. A family of 5 can sleep there (depending on the age of the children and on how much you like your sleep :) ).

If you want to book 2 rooms (one for you and one for your children), we recommend that you book room n°1 and room n°2 which are both on the ground floor (across the corridor). Or you can book room n°3 and n°4 which are respectively on the first and second floor.

Are there parking spaces and do I have to reserve it in advance? 

Our house has four rooms and we have four parking spaces so you will have a safe spot. We have two parking spaces on each side of the house so make sure you arrive at the right address. Rooms n°1 and 2 park on rue du Huit Mai whereas room n°3 and 4 park rue Zamenhof. 


Can I store my bike safely? 

We have a brand new bike shed which locks so your bikes will  be safe here. 


Do you accept pets? Unfortunately, we don't.

Very comfortable and chic. Decorated with great taste and attention to every detail. The room had a very comfortable bed with complimentary tea and cookies and a spacious bathroom with fluffy towels. Lovely rooms, very new and clean, and very quiet. An excellent night’s sleep was easy! Lovely communal breakfasting area, and the hosts were very helpful and thoughtful, both in terms of check-in and at breakfast (where they asked in advance what we’d like - brilliant!) The location is perfect for visiting Rouen, away from the crowded city bit still very close. We brought our bikes and it’s only 10 minutes to the city. Or take the subway which is also only minutes away. We could store the bikes in a save place during the night. Our car broke down the fist day of our holiday and we had to stay extra nights. The host was very helpful in every way in supporting us with translation with the garage etc. We stayed in two different rooms because of our extra days and both rooms are nice and comfortable. Wir hatten eine extrem nette Gastgeberin. Das Frühstück war so reichhaltig…wie in einem Hotel, nur viel gemütlicher. Das Zimmer war sauber, super neu renoviert und toll gestaltet, die Umgebung ruhig und der Ausflug nach Rouen von dort aus sehr schön. Wir waren ruckzuck dort… 10 min zu Fuß zur U Bahn, 8 Haltestellen später mitten im Zentrum. Klasse… keine Parkgebühren, kein Stress! Unsere Gastgeberin sprach zudem super Englisch, das hat es mit unseren spärlichen Französischkenntnissen sehr leicht gemacht. 😀 Es war alles toll.Petra
